The following positions are available:
Senior Technical Writer: The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for
the design, development and maintenance of IDX documentation, including
application manuals, online help messages, training materials, functional
specifications, and internal support materials. The Senior Technical Writer
will work with Trainers, Product Administrators, Quality Assurance
Analysts, Programmers, Customer Support staff and other members of the
Documentation Group to fill the informational needs of IDX audiences.
Essential duties include creating and maintaining documentation for RISD
applications in the formats most appropriate to the topic and to the needs
of the audiences. The Senior Technical Writer will have full responsibility
for entire documents. Documents will be designed and planned using a needs
analysis approach. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English,
Communications, Technical Writing, or related field. Qualifications
include 3+ years experience writing end user oriented software
documentation; proven writing skills; proven project management skills; The
following are also desirable: experience in radiology and healthcare; Adobe
FrameMaker.
