I'm a corporate communication writer as well as tech writer. Before I
really delved into tech writing, I was a corporate communication specialist
with a mutual fund company. I'm a member of IABC (International Association
for Business Communicators) and I highly recommend you joining that
organization because there's where all the corporate comm writers hang out.
The organization holds conferences and local chapter meetings on corporate
comm issues.
As far as potential corporate comm deliverables....yes, newsletters,
proposals, and annual employee reports, all internal documentation, and
something else: corporate comm strategies...and how they fit into a
corporate communication plan, and then how that plays out into
deliverables. We're always thinking about the communication levels for
organizations and whether they're at a healthy point or not. Many employees
have complained in surveys that they don't know what's going on at "the
top". Here's where the corporate comm writer is a strategist, focusing how
to deliver the message.

I'm interested in opinions about what is involved in "Corporate

I'm thinking about opening a position up in this realm because we have a

Can anyone think of some *other* examples of things that are TYPICALLY
