Subject:Re: Word 97 and creating table formats From:Richard Yanowitz <ryanowit -at- NYCT -dot- NET> Date:Wed, 29 Jul 1998 14:38:51 -0400
If I understand your question correctly, you can create your own
pre-formatted tables and re-use them indefinitely via auto correct.
- Create the table, including any formatting you want in any cells. (Or,
of course, take an existing table and modify it.)
- Select/highlight the table.
- Choose auto correct from the Tools menu
- Type any code you'll remember even if you don't use it for days or weeks.
When you type this code, followed by many non-alpha-numeric characters
(space or carriage return works fine) in a document, your formatted table
will appear.
For those who haven't exploited auto correct, this is only one of numerous
short-cuts it allows (including insertion of logos).
