This is an age-old arguement that goes on all the time. The Chicago Manual
of Style
says you should not put a period after a bullet-list item unless it is a
complete sentence.
The Chicago Manual of Style is not the last word, however, because other
style manuals differ.
So what I have done is made up my own rule. That is: When it makes sense to
use a period, I do. When
it doesn't make sense to use a period I don't. I know this seems like a
vague answer, but there
just aren't any hard and fast rules on it that I could find. I'll be
interested in the answers you
receive.
