Funny you should ask, Kathy. The company I work for is developing a tool
called Model EyeQ that extracts text and diagrams from Rational Rose
(and Visual Modeler). Model EyeQ has a drag and drop interface for
building templates, which can then be re-used with any model. There's
also a query language for more advanced functions. You can output
information in Word, PowerPoint, HTML, and text formats. And you can
control the format of the output with codes in the Model EyeQ template
or by using a Word or PowerPoint template or HTML style sheet.
A beta 1 version is currently available, and beta 2 is scheduled for
release this Friday (Oct 9). You can download an evaluation copy from
our website at http://www.ModelEyeQ.com. The beta version includes
on-line help; there'll be a paper/PDF getting started guide (which
includes a tutorial) available with the released version.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact me off-list.
HTH,
Penelope
