I'm a bit sorry to extend this thread, but there is one on-topic message in
this rubbish that anyone concerned with documentation systems should take to
heart. BTW, I am running Word 97 SR-1 and have not been able to demonstrate
the Easter Egg. It this a complete put on?
If it isn't do we really want to be producing vital corporate documentation
on an application that has these kinds of 'glitches' programmed into its
software?
I will certainly use this as yet another example why my company needs to
move our corporate knowledge authors into a professional product like FM for
long documents (most of our authors are not professional writers, so they
have even more problems with Word than disciplined Techwhirlers do).
If any of you are aware of other demonstrable kinds of 'off topic' code
built into tools we are often asked to use professionally, please let me
know via direct email to hallb -at- tenix -dot- com -dot-
