IMHO, either is technically correct, because you use the word as a (passive)
verb in one sentence and as an adjective in the other.

Because the passive voice is not very popular in tech. writing (yeah
right!), I'd opt for the adjective.

The following examples may be even better:
We welcome your comments.
...until we complete the task.
