Though William Horton certainly doesn't need me to defend him, a recent
post implied his book was out of date--saying it's from 1980!
My 2nd edition shows a 1994 copyright. The examples do come from pre-OS 8.x
(Mac), pre-Win95, and pre-Linux online information systems; however, the
principles he discusses are indispensible.
I strongly urge everyone who's working in any form of online communication,
from single-sourced hardcopy documents ported onto digital domains to
application-embedded, on-demand help systems, to know this book thoroughly.
Just my thoughts.
