Thanks Bill and Carene for your prompt responses. I should probably
provide a little more information. All of the PCs in our company are
configured for new employees with the Acrobat Reader installed, and .pdf
files are associated with the correct application at that time.
Something is changing the association to Notepad behind the scenes.
