Subject:Jobs in downtown Chicago? From:Wordwriter <wordwriter -at- MINDSPRING -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 3 Mar 1999 08:44:15 -0600
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any software-related tech
writing jobs that have come open recently in downtown Chicago? My company
was bought late last year and moved to another state, and I've been hunting
since mid-January for a new position since my wife and I wanted to stay here
instead of moving. Regardless, I have around 1.5 years of tech writing
experience as the lone technical writer for a software company. I'm trying
to find a permanent position that would provide me with a more rounded
experience in the field, and especially one with other technical writers on
staff. I've been keeping my eye on Dice and Chicago ComputerJobs, as well
as Monster and other Internet-based sources. I've had a couple of bites
thus far, but they haven't worked out for reasons beyond my control. My
hunt is now around 7 weeks old, so I'm anxious to get back to work again.
Any help with actual openings or places to contact or check in downtown
Chicago (I live downtown and don't own a car - the suburbs are possiblities
if I can get there via public transit), particularly in software, would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
