Support Source, Inc. of North Andover, MA has the following positions
available:
Senior Technical Writer (south of Boston)
Must have minimum 5 years experience documenting hardware/software
products. Candidate will write, edit, maintain and update hardware and
software manuals. Must be able to write for a highly technical
audience. Must be skilled in MS Word and Framemaker. Minimum BA/BS or
equivalent experience.
Technical Writer (495 area)
Responsible for writing installation guides, user manuals, maintenance
and troubleshooting for internal use and for customers. Materials will
provide instructions for maintenance and troubleshooting for mechanical
components. Individual must be experienced working with subject matter
experts and translating technical information into easy to understand
documents. Applicant must have 2 ?3 years technical writing experience
and a B.S. in Technical Writing, English or a related field.
Experience specifically in hardware technical writing and/or software
technical writing for multimedia projects a plus. Some experience using
Corel Draw, Photo Finish or other graphics programs is required.
Senior Technical Writer
In this position you will create technical documents for database
software products. You should hae experience documenting systems
software that runs on various platforms and have a good understanding of
server technology. Applicant must have at least three years technical
writing experience and a B.S. in Technical Writing, English or a related
field.
Principal Technical Writer
Lead projects and write documentation of Internet software products.
You should be familiar with network software products and protocols and
hardware devices. Understanding of object oriented/C++/Java development
environments with some programming experience is a plus. A B.S. in
Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration required. 5+
years writing technical manuals/documentation for technology based
products is required.
