Subject:Re: Screen Capture Software for DOS From:Don Timmerman <timmerma -at- IPDLINK -dot- IPD -dot- ANL -dot- GOV> Date:Fri, 26 Mar 1999 08:37:20 -0600
A subscriber asked,
"Do any of you have the name of a product that will capture screens while
running on a DOS only platform? Dumping to the printer is not what I need.
I need to capture the screen to a file that I can insert into PowerPoint
and Word."
About six years ago I documented a DOS application using a DOS product
called HiJack. It used hot keys to leave but not exit the application to
perform the screen capture. After the screen capture, you return to the
DOS application. It is/was a very good product. The current product is
called HiJack Pro and it is from Quarterdeck. I don't know if the Windows
version will do screen captures in a DOS application.
