It isn't a numbering problem in Word. In order for automatic numbering
to work properly, as explained in the Help topic "Include chapter
numbers in captions", you MUST use Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3,
Heading 4, Heading 5, Heading 6, Heading 7, Heading 8, or Heading 9
_that Word provides as a style_ for automatic chapter numbering, caption
numbering, or any other kind of numbering.
You cannot create a new style and do the automatic numbering thing on
that style.
