Description:

A consulting firm with a global investment bank as a client needs a professional and experienced information management specialist/technical writer to provide documentation management and support to application development teams in the financial services industry.

Primary responsibilities will be:

• Author and organize functional specs
• Work with a Subject Matter Expert to edit existing and document planned business processes
• Create a web-based document repository for all programming, development & process docs (specs, spreadsheets, slide shows, etc.) with the eventual goal of code reuse
• Provide writing/editing assistance with any existing or planned process documents
• Work with a meeting facilitator to document proceedings of technology focus groups

Requirements:

Must have excellent interpersonal skills;

Strong English skills and strong information management skills

Knowledge of development lifecycle environments is a plus

Knowledge of Interest Rates business is a plus

Computing Environments: NT, some Unix

Tools: Web publishing tools, Domino, MS Word, Excel, Power Point; Visio a plus

Travel: Based in Chicago, but some travel to Connecticut may be required.

Workplace: Casual dress, smart and fun

Conversion to full time employment is an option.
