Took a peek with Netscape 4.08 and don't see the problem here at all. I even
overrode your font choices and tried several other fonts and sizes and the Date
block remained "normal" size. (BTW, I noticed that while you checked for 2
digits, you didn't bother to check the value of the digits, therefore "88"
would seem to be an acceptable value.)
I notice that FP is still generating unnecessary code, but considerably less
than it used to. Could it be that the Borg have finally assimilated something
useful? ;{>}
