I'd be interested in the results of this query.
I've used R-HTML 7 to create cross-platform help but have had mixed results
with regards to performance when accessing the help system on a web server.
(I'm still researching, and owe an email to a kind colleague on this list!)
I've also made an HTML help system in straight HTML, but with no index or
find tab.
I've also made an HTML help system in straight HTML plus javascript to
provide an index.
My (our) problem is developing HTML help systems for cross-platform. If it
were just a Microsoft world, I would absolutely love R-HTML 7 for creating
.chm help systems....
