frames and Back behavior

Hi!

I have a two-frame page, with a TOC in the left pane, and main stuff in the
right pane. At the top of the TOC pane, I have two things: "Table of
Contents" and "Index." When you click "Index," it loads an index in the left
pane. At the top of this index, I have one link: "Back to Table of
Contents."

The code for my "Back to Table of Contents" link is:

The reason I don't have straight HTML in here is because there are several
views of the TOC (that is, toc1.htm, toc2.htm, toc3.htm, toc4.htm...) that
show different books open with little pages under them.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM:  If i go the Index, and then actually use the index to
find a topic, and display it in the right pane to read about it, and THEN am
ready to go back to the TOC....well, what happens when i click the "Back to
Table of Contents" link is the RIGHT pane does a Back. If i click the "Back
to TOC" link AGAIN and AGAIN (the number of times depends on how many index
topics i displayed in the right pane, it seems), it then takes the left pane
back to the last view of the TOC as it is supposed to.

Any clues? I just want my "Back to Table of Contents" link to refresh the
left pane with the last viewed tocN.htm.
