Being alliterate is not a dirty word. Neither, in my world, is being
illiterate. I suppose it would be more polite to refer to this subset of
users or people as "people who prefer not to read." Labels can be more than
one word long. So it is not PC to talk about this?
The term "alliterate" is used by people who discuss their existence and
issues in a professional context everyday--people more concerned with
reading than labels. What term would you rather I use? Idiots or Dummies? I
never use those terms. I don't think they apply. And, I personally don't
like them.
I facilitate their needs by illustrating the concepts with redundant
graphics. I'll just be sure never to identity who they are in the future. I
don't have a label gun. And, not all labels stick.
I take offense at people who want to misconstrue what I said, because THEY
use the word negatively. I'm sorry that you thing "alliterate" is a dirty
word. What would you think of "perturbation?" It's an absolutely innocent
technical term. It just sounds bad.
