Well, Guy, look again. Tools are tools. We learn them as needed.
Methodologies come and go. Our PRIMARY skill is communication. That's where
the future will be.

Anyone who gets tied in to a particular tool or methodology or medium, no
matter how attractive it may be at the time, is dead meat unless they keep
learning. We learn it, we do it, we move on when it's time.

I'm not arguing against learning anything. I am saying that some companies
use a compartmentalized approach (separating those who write from those who
design), and some prefer an approach that lets people integrate their
skills. My own preference is obvious. I can work with any methodology. And,
yes, I WILL take the money and do the best I can, regardless of which way
the company wants to go.

But the one constant is our ability to communicate information.
