The usage may be ancient, as Martyn suggests, but U.S. trademark law is
pretty explicit about the use of possessives with trademarks: this usage
endangers the legal protection afforded the trademark. You're supposed to
use the trademark only in the adjectival sense. Making it a possessive is
using it in the noun sense.

But we all do it.
