TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Typically, since I have several fires to put out at once, I squeeze my
page-by-page reviews in-between things--for example, at home, last
night, between 9 and 11 pm after I put the kids to bed. Also note, that
I worked every weekend day in January and February, and several weekends
since, not to mention the last three weeks have been 60+ hour weeks, at
salary--no OT. For example, one product I'm on got a new menu and
several option changes, 5 business days before my PostScript was due to
go to press. So, to answer your question, I work here, at home, and
everyplace inbetween.
