No form or template will help you come up with a work
estimate. Your estimate is based on person hours of
work. The amount of person hours depends on:
* the type of work performed
* the subject matter
* the accessibility to information and SMEs
* the amount of work to be performed
* your realistic competancy and comfortability with
regard to pace
Once you determine all of the above, you'll have an
idea of how many pages of FINISHED documentation you
can churn out each day - on average - and then you can
slap a price tag on that by the hour. I'm not sure if
you were looking for rate information or just time
estimation... For rate info, see www.stc.org for some
guidelines based on your area.
