I like Kim Roper's "option B". 

Alternatively, install the print-to-JPG printer driver I explained in 
http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=Pine.GSO.3.96.1021114133207.29000F-100000%40yin.interaccess.com

Either method will give you a large raster graphic that you should be able
to manipulate however you like. 

If you're on a tight deadline, and it's a small print run, your original
plan of printing 'em out separately and sorting it in works too.
