For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
"...These have been the most horrible four days
of my professional life on account of your list
and its members making me feel like the biggest
loser..."
Once I made a very light comment on a 'sexism from SME's thread' to the effect that most men were pretty decent sorts and we should be tolerant of their shortcomings while proving the stereotypes wrong. Some crazy woman sent me a very hostile message off-list, and she only got nastier the more I tried to reason with her. I'm no wimp, but it was a little scary.
I can only imagine what poor Amber got with her 'flirt like hell' remark.
