Dear Whirlers..
A couple of days ago I was assigned a new*unplanned*unexpected*vague as
always task.. "I want you to prepare an infrastructure for a knowledge base
using sharepoint".. and that was it.. I tried to ask more about
requirements, plan or procedures but I got a .. "with some research I know
you will come up with good solutions".. and off I was ..
I had an idea about knowledge bases, and I heard about Sharepoint and
document management.. but everything is still vague.. I read more about
Sharepoint, and been to tutorials.. I sort of got the general mood of the
situation, I accidentally ran into MS Project Template for deploying
Sharepoint.. but that is a way too far frfom what can really be implemented
in our company..
FYI, I have been into technical writing only since a year ago and plus
another junior writer we are the documentation department.
