Well, I stand corrected on that one. I checked several references to make sure that wasn't the case, but I stopped one reference too soon--it's listed third in Webster's New Universal Unabridged.


To mention just one of the grammatical errors in the article, the title should've been "Microsoft Pays Dearly..."

UK English again, mate.

Really? In the UK, you use adjectives like "dear" to modify verbs?

My British wife is surprised to hear that, too.
