The second method will use a lot more paper, if it matters. I'd use the
first, unless the result is something that requires a lengthy chunk of
text; then I'd set it off in a separate paragraph.
But I think the first word in your subject line sums this issue up. I'd
suspect that if you look hard at your task, you've got bigger fish to fry.
Same goes for those who dove immediately into the raging appear/display
battle. Sheesh.
