Hi Janine,

Don't know if this fits your situation, but for an intranet, having some fun / useful info on the site can lure people to at least log in, go to the site and click on the info. Examples would be the day's weather and forecast, or the day's cafeteria lunch special. You'd have to demonstrate the procedure for logging in I suppose, and how to click on a link. You could also ensure that everyone has the correct shortcut on their desktop or taskbar to reach your site with no fuss.
