For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Oh, a couple of other tools I cannot live without: a good comfortable pen and (bless the inventor forever) a squishy, gel-filled mouse pad. I also put moleskin on the wrist rest part of my ergonomic keyboard. Anything to keep my wrists and hands from resting on hard surfaces for long. I also prop most reading materials on a cushion if I'm reading for a long time.
