Bob,
I can assure you that CTS is real. I'm lucky in that I don't tend to
experience a lot of pain, just occasional numbness, but there are times when
the aching in my forearms and wrist keep me awake at night. If I have a
flare-up and don't wear my wrist braces to bed, my hands go almost entirely
numb while I'm sleeping. Try turning off an alarm clock when your fingers
are about as responsive as hot dogs attached to your hand.
