TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Make sure you have 'written' permission to 'integrate' the 3rd party
documentation.
Copyrights are legal.
Remember that one of the legal cases a while back were involving 'matching
lines of code' in one application were found in the lines of code of another
'software developer'. (I won't mention the names of the litigants (because I
am not sure I would get them right)).
Protect yourself, have your legal people deal with the issue of the
legalities of this area of 'writing'.
BTW, I am not a legal eagle, so refer to your own resources.
Plus, you should probably include a disclaimer concerning the 'other
parties' whose 'intellectual' material is included.
