Not sure how I compare to Dick but I do remember us getting electricity
installer, and mains water... of course we were in a very rural area :-)

On the TW front, when I started the only tools war around was pencil or
pen? And you weren't considered a 'proper' tech writer until you had
mastered the art of cut 'n' stick where you could copy pages with stuck
done illustrations without getting the join appearing when you
photocopied it!
