If you want control over the format of the documents, you have to restrict
editing to those who actually are trained how to use Word and how to use the
templates. With Frame, the problem is simpler because not everyone has Frame
on their desktop, and those who do hopefully have some idea of what they are
doing with it. But everyone believes they know how to use Word, and most
people are mistaken in that belief, at least in terms ofmaintaining
consistency of layout in a large document.

When sending Word docs out for review, you have a range of choices. I would
be inclined to send copies out protected for revisions, let people make the
changes they want, and then copy and paste the changes back into the master,
always using Paste Unformatted Text to put text in, before formatting with
the template styles. I have a macro that pastes as unformatted text and I
have assigned it to the Ctrl-Shift-V key combination.
