TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Wouldn't this kind of discussion be better placed on there as well? Not
asking for this thread to be closed or moved but curious as to why STC is
discussed so heavily on here.
I'm a member of the ISTC and we have our own mailing list.

Hi, Ealasaid
As a Programs VP, thanks for your comments.
For me, it is a constant challenge to figure out what people need, or at
least, what they will come to see.
I'd love to discuss some of those suggested topics, either in-group or
offline. You aren't here in SoCal, by any chance?
Regards
Jay
