TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
We have an internal mailing list for techy questions by internal staff.
Quite frequently the first answer is "see Guide X, page Y".
Every time it's uttered an angel gets his wings...

Hey, for a while that included me, too. I was sure that my efforts
never saw the light of day (or screen) once they were released. It was so
gratifying to find even one person who actually gets some use out of them.
I did say that I don't know what happens OUTside the company, but given how
often the Support folks have to quote my docs to customers, I think I can
guess.
Cheers,
Kevin
