Subject:Floating, invisible links in a PDF From:Nancy Allison <maker -at- verizon -dot- net> To:TECHWR-L List <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Thu, 19 Jun 2008 08:51:02 -0500 (CDT)
Weirdest thing EVAH.
I'm working in a PDF -- my job is to find all the linked documents, test every link, make sure that the document matches the link text, and record the whole megillah.
I am finding that some links look all right, but are dead. However, if I hover the cursor about an inch above the link text, the cursor changes and displays the link path -- just the way it should behave when the cursor is over the link text. When I click the cursor over the invisible, floating link, I get the document.
Have you run into this? Can this be fixed? Is there some strange display option I've got turned on that is doing this?
(Unfortunately, the documents I'm examining aren't in my control. They're corporate-wide, and the original source docs are Who knows where . . .if there's anyway to fix from within Adobe Acrobat Professional, that would be the ticket.)
