For some reason, the phrase "dragged out and shot" just passed through
my mind. It was followed by "and don't bother waiting for dawn"
(implying that no appeal would be heard, so why are you still here and
why is he still alive). I am /e/f/f/o/r/t/i/n/g/ trying to not have
thoughts like that, but apparently not trying hard enough. Perhaps I
should be ef... no, I can't bear to say it.

This one, I can see... but transitive or intransitive?
Shortening "engaging in transaction" to "transacting" has utility.
