The flippant answer to that question is "Pay men less money"
The real answer to that question is that the workforce has to become more
homogeneous across all jobs. Some of the low wages for women are due to the
fact that women are more willing to take lower-paying jobs ... and that
jobs with a gender identity (like nurse or teacher or daycare provider)
also have lower pay scales. Other reasons are that women perhaps in broad
strokes aren't as good with negotiating their salaries as men are, or that
most of the top earners across all industries are men. And while the
averages say women make less than men, there are a lot of individual
examples where that is not the case.
