Are you sure there was no bookmark there before? A bookmark can be applied either to an item/string (in which case, it's enclosed in square brackets) or to a location (in which case it's an I-beam).
I'm not positive about the earlier state, but I can confirm this behavior
for new text typing. And what Iâm seeing are the square brackets, and when I
use the Insert Bookmark, an OLE_* link is displayed. I can delete it in this
dialog box and the result (as expected) is that the square brackets go away.
As I said, not an issue, just mysterious.
