My family has been in the publishing business since the early 1800s. There
is absolutely no discussion to be had over this topic.

The only exception is for those monospaced typefaces (e.g., Courier) where
the double spacing is useful. Used anywhere else it advertises ignorance
and/or amateurism. *;<)*
