help needed -- e-mail censorship and company policy
Subject:help needed -- e-mail censorship and company policy From:"Sarah T. Harris" <STH -at- ALPHA -dot- SUNQUEST -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 9 Feb 1994 13:45:37 -0700
To all techwr-l listees:
I am doing some independent research
on the administration and control of
electronic mail and bulletin boards
inside corporations.
First, can you refer me to any articles
that have been published about this?
Next, have any of you out there encountered
censorship in your company bulletin
boards or e-mail systems?
Do you have published policies and
procedures? If so, can you share that
information?
If you have policies or e-mail "police,"
what is the mood of employees in response
to them? Has e-mail been a source of
problems in your company? What kinds
of problems? Legal? Morale? If you have
policies, why were they implemented?
How is e-mail used in your company?
Is it confined to business news? Does
your company have an electronic employee
newsletter?
I'm sure I've left off some vital
questions. I'd like to learn what other
companies are doing, if anything.
Unless others want to learn about this,
you can respond to me directly at
STH -at- ALPHA -dot- SUNQUEST -dot- COM
Thanks for you help,
