I hope there is no confusion about what our product, IXgen, can do for
FrameMaker.

IXgen does NOT take away the "human direction" or "human decisions". What
IXgen DOES DO is remove interaction with the native FrameMaker Marker
window. The mechanics of index creation in FrameMaker are thus so
simplified that one can devote energy to actually indexing, rather than
the mechanics of indexing. There IS a large difference between the two
concepts. :)

IXgen is a suite of tools to make FrameMaker marker maintenance and
generation far easier than it used to be. Some of the tools are
"automatic", some are "semiautomatic", some are merely high-quality "picks
and shovels" to get at the task of indexing (or general marker
management). In NO case does IXgen dictate any aspect of the mental
component of indexing.
