Diane...I've been an active member of this list and several others for
some time and I find that participation in this forum has made me a
better at "whatever it is that I do." But then, so has reading trade
magazines

With that said, and with all respect to the others on this list, if I
was to recieve a resume where participation in an internet list was
considered a qualification, I toss that resume out because I'd figure
that if the person needed to build themselves up by scraping that deep,
then there probably isn't much depth to the person's experience. You
wouldn't put that you spend an hour a day reading trade magazines, would
ya? This is just my opinion and I don't know if I can explain why or
what the difference is, other than think of the 3,000 subscribers to
this list that don't get the FULL benefit of the list because they don't
participate. (I figure that since we only hear from at MOST 500
contributors, then there must be at least 3,000 lurkers. By the way, I
just bought my first pair of fireproof underwear just so I could respond
to this message, so flame away (grin)

Also, since a percentage of management might consider this a waste of
the time that they are paid to produce, so it could be taken wrong. Do
you want to take that chance?

Why not take the chance and put that the hours you've spent playing
Windows Solitaire has increased your understanding of Windows, your
hand-eye coordination and your understanding of the developer's insight
on developing interactive, dynamic, multimedia applications?
