I tried to search the archives, but got timed out, so forgive me if this
has been addressed.
In my Word 97 document I have marked all the entries that I want to appear
in the Index. When I generate the Index I get several entries for the
same word based on the format of the word. For example, the word
"Accounts" appears throughout the document. In the index there is an entry
for Accounts that's bold, and refers to every instance of the word that's
bold, and another entry for Accounts that's not bold and refers to every
marked instance of the word that's not bold.
Is there a way to mark them so that I get one entry for the word,
regardless how the marked text is formatted?
Thank you in advance,
Linda
