Visio is just making its way into the translation community. In our
experience, few individual translators own it and -- more importantly --
know how to use it. If this is route you're going, you may wish to extract
translatable text to send to translators and later cutting-and-pasting back
into Visio.

However, professional translation companies like ForeignExchange routinely
work in Visio. You should be able to send them the Visio files and receive
translated files back. One caveat: if you are looking to translate into
double-byte character set languages (e.g., Japanese, Arabic), be sure that
you have the appropriate hardware and software to handle the returned
elctronic files.
