The STC Salary guide was useful and somewhat insightful. Seeing how there
is a large market for Tech. Writing consultants, is there a chart that
compares consulting rates and fees around the nation? Is there a current
formula for obtaining a direct translation from employee salary to
consulting rates?
I was told to cut your consulting salary in half if you were to become an
employee with a company that offers "good" benefits. I can't imagine that
is always accurate.
