I've been using CD-Rs for moving data since . . . 1996? CD-Rs have the
great benefit that you can be pretty sure the recipient has a CD drive,
which is not the case with Zip and other technologies. I've not used a
floppy disk in donkey's years; they are not useful any more. I'm
surprised the 1.44 MB high-density double-sided floppies are still
around, and unchanged, after many more than 10 years.
I recommend buying a CD burner for moving your files.

Use WinZip or PKZip to create a multi-disc archive.
Why store on floppies?
