I just wanted to throw something in on this discussion. XML is not just used
as a markup language for documentation. Our product uses XML and XSL
extensively to transfer data between programs and display data in a
web-based visibility tool. In this case, XML knowledge definitely is in
asset and is much more than a buzzword--just as code knowledge would be an
asset in API documentation, and database knowledge in creating database
definitions guides.
