I'm a little confused. This thread started out as a discussion of how hiring
companies view TW resumes, but the metrics discussion is all about how companies
view documentation.
The best, most effective TW on the planet still has a short job life expectancy
in a company that holds its documentation in low esteem, and a company that
considers documentation essential to its bottom line is still going to want a
way to evaluate the effectiveness of the TWs who produce it.
The metrics you look at to determine if your company needs documentation and how
effective it is are not the same as the metrics you look at to determine if the
people you have producing your documentation are doing a good job of it.
