Subject:need a word for "ranging" From:"Monique Semp" <monique -dot- semp -at- earthlink -dot- net> To:"TechWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 27 Nov 2013 10:59:10 -0800
Hello, WR-L-ers,
Iâm describing two behaviors:
* Fixed â The number of nodes is maintained at a fixed number. If a node fails, another one is powered on.
* Ranging â The number of nodes is maintained within the range from min to max, based on lots of system variables.
The engineers arenât fond of ârangingâ, and would prefer âdynamicâ. But the âfixedâ behavior is also dynamic because the system is powering on new nodes as needed. So I donât want to substitute âdynamicâ for ârangingâ.
So, any suggestions for a word to use instead of ârangingâ?
Thanks much,
And Happy US Thanksgiving,
-Monique
